Congratulations to those that stuck with PIR from its April 2011 bottom and have seen a much better share price.
As a former PIR holder I am still interested in PIR so I read this thread occasionally.
The recent resource update was not what I had expected to read, and is a total shock to me. It is great that the market has not taken a more negative view of this, or perhaps the details were already out there and priced in before they were officially released.
I just wanted to let you guys/gals know that at least one very good trader has in the past focussed on PIR (ie is up to mid April) and I would expect there are others. The person I am referring to writes a TA newsletter for day traders and trades the sharemarket. I hope for the sake of shareholders that the share price does reflect real underlying value and not some manipulated price.
I have no idea if this is an issue or not, but I thought I would let readers know. In 2007 and 2008 I am pretty sure that traders were ramping up the price of a little specie called PRE which subsequently fell back down. Basically it is the same old story of some company with a potentially valuable asset that my make shareholders rich. I suppose one chief difference is that PIR now has a much sounder directors/management group to guide it while PRE has struggled for decades without achieving anything with an old unresponsive mob in charge.
All the best.
