(an irreverant term for beginner traders and intended for beginner traders if i were to point to anyone else i would entitled it "numpties")
i noticed there's still a bravado surrounding this stock despite its pathetic dive into the current abyss.......
there's an idea that has gained a lot of kudos in trading futures: that price will ultimately move to the largest offer, or, put another way, price will gravitate to size
when the whole side of the ask/offer spread moves to zero the black whole that appears has dominance of its own simple logic......the black hole is the larger size
in stocks that do not offer a yield they can only offer one thing and that is the rule of the bigger fool theory unless a disruptive influence can be input such as a take-over, a promising find/discovery etc
this brings up the question of faith and exactly where the line is between arrogance of "it can't fail, it must go up from here" and "what's the real reason the buy side keeps emtpying out so fast?"
faith is such a devisive tool not because it misleads the end result but because it may mislead your whole friggin life and there's plenty of religions that can attest to that truth.......but let's not go there.......simply put the amount of time taken to reap reward maybe be better placed else where
lets find some simple truths
let's find what is on offer aside from the break-up value and how close a company can become delisted and how likely, as a stock holder, (that's YOUR money) is going to come back to you in that instance?
Of course, faith says those things wont happen......
If those things wont happen then let's explore the simple truth of what does happen and how long that is going to take
for starters, we know that the idea of a shell company at its lowest invested cost, as this stock now is, has not been taken on by any major players that we can find published or gossiped about
the company flip-flopped from one designation to another and clearly been less than stellar at either
each day goes by cash is burnt
each day goes by there is less sell volume simply because there is less buy volume .......there are no discretionary buyers pushing the offer and if you can countermand that that is because players are allowing cheapest supply to come to them, then, the instant questions are: how long are you to wait for the upside to come if ever as how long do you think people will wait for the push to eventually come as most will continuously say to themselves "why rush, look at how much we can get by not rushing" and eventually that "not rushing" will eat itself and go into apathy until enough players simply weigh too heavily in the lowest level possible ....which is right where the price is now
just to recap, if youre concluding that you cant lose then you might want to tell that to previous illiquid, delisted and or insolvent traders positions
I recently emailed someone to be aware of the new venture that DMN was on and that it was worth watching to see if it could mount an upward trend we could enter at the first tier and that same week i watched as the price was dutifully robbed and pilfered in the typical way that an auction allows......i did not trade it based on the obvious pumpany action in the course of sales......it has made no trend, it has simply gone to ground in a thud.....it was a trade-able tool then and you must ask is it a trade-able tool now? Do you have the on-screen tools, the speed to think through the process, to take any advantage now? What real and calculable advantage do you see?
if you dont have the knowledge and practised skill-set to trade the bigger fool theory, i commend you stay away......
the semi-pros on this do what they do....... allow them to eat each other, that is the nature of this game, for this stock, at this time
the axiom applies: "experience is the only thing you need most just seconds before you receive"
imo, ime
have a good week
you may note that this instrument cannot even be short-sold thus you cannot even force the short-sale to cover......
