But it's the same wad of money...was my point. If tax entity A pays the tax on behalf of entity B then it's only fair that entity B gets to claim the tax. Why doe it bother you do much anyway, do you work for the ATO? If you are concerned about tax theft and wastage then self funded retirees claiming their breadcrumbs back should be the least of your concerns?
