I'm still not sure if JB restocked a week or two ago or if they just moved stock from stores that had spares to stores that were depleted. Whatever they did though; it looks like it did the trick. Consumer purchases have picked up significantly over the last few weeks and show no sign of slowing, after earlier sliding as many JB stores ran out of more popular colours and as we ran off the peak selling periods. This pick up is hitting recent highs mid week which is encouraging as sales are likely to continue higher through the weekend. The last two peaks were during the weekends. This is also particularly encouraging because it has been happening after TV and radio advertising had either stopped completely or was scaled back heavily after a big campaign through Nov-Jan. The fact that sales can reverse the recent slide and grow significantly with heavily scaled back advertising shows that positive reviews and word of mouth are working well for us. If sales pick back up to Nov-Jan levels with much less advertising expense, it also means higher cash-flow and profits. I hope JB continues to keep appropriate stock levels in their stores so that this trend can continue. It appears to be the difference between sales trends in Australia and NZ. Getting Telstra on board later this year would help smooth sales out in Australia. Hopefully our UK partners are much better with maintaining their stock levels. If they are, the near future is looking very bright and sales in UK will certainly help to smooth out sales as well.
