I see no reason to expect a delay but who knows what others might be thinking.
App downloads are still volatile. They took another dip just after my last post and now slowly picking up again (chart below). We are getting closer to the end of the month so they are now suggesting consumer sales in March are finally coming off the Christmas and back to school peaks. That should be no surprise but might also partially explain the lack of buying over the last week or two which has allowed the price to fall back to the $3.30 mark on low volume. Average app download ranking for March in Australia is now 56, compared to 47 for both January and February and 44 for December. March at 56 is well ahead of November when the average download ranking was 79.
I've been storing data so that I can keep a long term chart of download rankings which shows the bigger picture. Applyzer only provides the latest 2 months worth. My Australia download rankings chart below shows the last 9 months plus the Applyzer NZ chart for the latest 2 months.
New Zealand seems to be doing better post "back to school", maybe because the main distributor there is a telco where sales may be less seasonal. Our Australian sales should get a good boost when we get Telstra on board. Before then, I'm hoping to see Australian sales bottom out this month or next and then see a steady quarter on quarter climb as we had last year.
