Hi Umi - yes it is fascinating, my wife reckons the local Bininj & Mungguy tribes will be so politicised by the Greens and NIMBY that they will say No to Jabiluka.
I reckon they will take the money, otherwise Jabiru will die completely and instead of the passive & lucrative Royalties, the locals will only have welfare. The Greens are trying to sell Eco Tourism - but cynical locals call Kakadu - Kaka-don't! Another interesting thing that most don't know is the Tribal Elders (lead families) call the shots and I cannot see them bailing on extra 10's of millions.
