Exactly. Neither company mentions the toxic element.
No, sulphur can’t be destroyed (it’s an element, a solid) and while it can easily be converted into various gases, SO2, SO3, H2S, they are all corrosive or toxic. Or both. And both companies emphasise how clean their processes are with no emissions. The sulphur must be in the oil, as it can’t be in the clean gas, char or steel.
It’s strange how, after a hundred years of the problem, you can suddenly do it so easily, with no additives or toxic emissions, when the big companies like Goodyear have failed - because of the sulphur.
