Hi Furpo2, what a great story, sorry but I am going to call you out on your story! Unless you can substantiate it? By the way, I also checked with someone who has lived no more than a stones throw from HMAS Cerberus for over 25 years and guess what, he has never heard of your near Cerberus tyre fire either!

I live on the Mornington Peninsula and have my entire life. [The best place to live] and have no recollection of a tyre fire burning for a week anywhere near Cerberus or anywhere on the Mornington Peninsular!

There was a serious tyre fire in Jan-2016 that burned for a long time, but that was in Broadmeadows which is over 100k away. Out of curiosity can you post a link to your “near Cerberus tyre fire”?
