Same thing happened last Monday. Spent all day at 79-80 trying to push through and a 4:10 small trade dropped it to 76c. It never recovered, that caused the start of the decline last week and here we are. I don't pretend to understand a lot about how this works, but it looks like some kind of manipulation to me, that seems to work.
