Don't agree with your reasoning there Tim.
IMO, the SP post readout will bear little correlation to the pre readout value. The main determinant will be the strength of the results.
Some stocks are targeted by buy the hype, sell the news. We don't appear to be in that category. Plus few would argue the reverse case that a higher lead in SP would cushion the blow on poor results.
