Thanks, ST and Werble, for your feedback.

I think too with VLA it was a case that the results just confirmed what we already knew from previous trials... that Cavatak was a winner. The negotiations were going on in the background but were just not happening fast enough for an impatient market. Glad I stuck it out til the end (from 30c) to the $1.75 takeover price.

In light of the crowded space of cancer treatment and immunotherapy, VLA and its shareholders were lucky to have had the deal signed and delivered to us. Definitely agree with your perspective on it, ST.

At the end of the day, what a pharmaceutical company is prepared to pay (in the absence of other offers) is what a company is worth. There was talk of $5 per share by posters on the VLA forum before and after Merck's offer. So, I am trying to ascertain what information (in terms of shareprice appreciation) is realistic for FTT. What you mentioned, Werble, keeps it real... the market cap. Always a fairly accurate gauge to go by in determining value. The market is not always rational, though, so need to take that into account. At the moment, though, it seems that we are on the right side of FTT's true value... and particularly if the trial results deliver good news, there is no reason that the shareprice will reverse.

Thanks again, guys. I'm sure the feedback will help other would-be-investors join the frey.
