All with one broker and same account.

If a million is bought in one go. Then a 250k amount comes and goes, but the million stays there. After a few years the million gets sold, and the first and last trades get bundled together. There has never been less than a million held, so it's easy to show that that million shares have been held for over a year.

My tax agent is happy with what I do. I have a spreadsheet with all my trades on it. Each tax year I add the new trades to it. I have a trade number field, and the buy and sell of each trade gets the corresponding trade number. Then Excels subtotals feature does the rest!
