Well I'm out. I'm a bit ashamed of having bought even for a minor short term trade. I suppose I knew the news was not brilliant. In that to deal with all the holdco liabilities in that manner, the would have to nearly dilute shareholders out of existence. But it is better than the more obvious alternative of running out of cash at the holdco and liquidating. It has extended what I would call the option value of CCC stock. Unfortunately it appears that some investors inexplicably dreamed that someone would pay crazy money for unprofitable assets. They are the sellers I presume. I suppose the bounce from 4 has been based on those false hopes.
