The more one comes into contact with germs the more resistance is built up in ones immune system. By becoming a nanny state and going overboard with hygiene we risk reducing the effectiveness of our immune system.All for washing ones hands before eating but using rubber products in this way reeks of over reaction.
I regularly go on cruises where the nanny state is even more prevalent, and have one rule and that is wash hands properly before eating and going to toilet, other than that nothing else and very rarely if ever have got sick, common sense required.
So in summary ,unlike some i will not be wearing rubber products to the supermarket or shopping online to avoid germs.
