I am still a believer in wow, just like the way I think Walmart is just as a great investment as Amazon.
While new technology, new e-commerce giants and discount shops continue to eat away the grocery/retail market, traditionally dominated by physical retailers, there's still a place for physical retailers.
I can't imagine a society without shopping malls, woolworths, and other physical shops, and all you would see is discount giants on streets and shoppers turning to internet for grocery shopping.
If this world is nothing but discount stores and internet shopping (basically to save money and buy the cheapest products with the most convenient way),
why would so many people spend a fortune and travel to Europe etc. to visit boutique shops and buy luxury brand at physical local store, while getting pampered at 5 star French hotels.
Experience of shopping at physical store is irreplaceable and special to human, as a way to connect with the society, become more socially-engaged and create new, speical memories.
It is up to Woolworth to create that unique, memorable and pleasant shopping experiences.
