the whole scenario is a very complicated one and so easy to take the mickey out of it- but who has an alternative?
my thinking is even if the skeptics are right- which i dont think they are- if we got off our reliance of fossil fuels- namely oil from the middle east it would also solve a lot of geopolitical issues- ie wars in the middle east
plus it only makes sense that we can now fund the rejuvanation of cleared lands- go some way to solving salinity problems- then again we could just stick our heads in the sand and snipe at anyone who tries to make a difference
