The investment in time, energy, millions of dollars and the flow on impact to people who enter contract arrangements and buy equipment, hire new pilots, do the catering or whatever is genuinely criminal if this can be traced to someone intentionally fudging reports..
Because NRW was seriously burnt on another contract a few years back it does extraordinary due diligence these days before taking on any new work .
This indicates to me that Mike Dunbar genuinely believed the grades were there otherwise NRW would not have purchased equipment to last six years (and then potentially get moved on to Glenburgh .)
If he was being used as a fall guy then who benefitted?
And I had not realised there was room for fiddling reports in these days of AISC and super technology/analysis .
It seems Gascoyne is now in a very difficult position ...desperately needing exploration wins to get back on track .
And maybe it will get them .
Life can be full of good surprises as well as bad ones ...it’s just I don’t have the risk appetite after bad lessons here and worse elsewhere .
Thank you again for your sharing ... on coifs and gold and that other stuff whatever it was at Great Boulder ..I am pretty sure what you said there helped me decide to exit at break even rather than waiting for it to get back to where it had been before. (I just looked and I would still be waiting)
