That crossed my mind as well. Not sure what kind of message that sends though - generating income from diamond sales but also issuing the CR. Two scenarios that came to mind:

1. Diamonds didn't sell very well - wasn't enough to cover the XRT and other costs, hence the CR = Not great news in terms of the value of recent diamond production.

2. Diamonds sold well - why did the company need to raise additional funds? = Suspicious shareholders.

Maybe it was just came down to timing, who knows.
