well Trump took the word of Putin and Kim so why wouldn't he take the word of the drug lord or the other "good people" from both sides (legal and illegal). Maybe if they paid him and agreed to let him build a Trump Tower in good ol Mexico he would also take their word as per Kim and Vlad.
