china is in the midst of an expansionary period and I cant help but ponder that part of the reason is that they are aware of an incoming ice age or new maunder minimum.

they are seeking land and resources outside their sphere of influence including oceania.

they are proposing to launch into orbit artificial an moon (by 2020) which would direct sunlight to areas under darkness. this idea would also have benefits if the country was experiencing severe cold, cold which will destroy food production. they also have the idea of launching sunlight gathering satellites which will be able to focus the light to a projected area.

maybe this is also a reason why they have embarked on an all out building spree to create the new silk road.
