The Trump base along with their local counterparts don't care. Under the surface what they want has nothing to do with jobs or the economy. Nor do they care about political corruption or obscene behaviour. They seek what ISIS seeks, that is a Biblical end of times conflict. At the very least Trump supporters in the US Bible belt see this conflict as now inevitable.

How Trump supporters will react to defeat in 2020 is another question.
