minnesota - i got burned with one page in one portfolio , yet made plenty with another; and like u , i am wary of companies who are burning cash based on big ideas- lost plenty on reffind which were a 1pg mini me i guess!

I sold AFY a bit early because of my wariness, plus some reasoned hot copper commentary i guess, but i still made money so no regrets. i could have done better with ACX who are a software company for construction projects but once again i made money --and I am thinking of rebuying!

So far made good money on this stock but would have been great to have sold more at near $6 -nearly bit the bullet on the last of my holding at $4 -thinking queen jenny may be right! but i hung in there -as luck would have it it is approaching a price i may sell more at a good profit -queen jenny may well be right but note my earlier post about staff and so called industry insiders-they normally got an axe to grind about some issue in the past

I also have another example of an industry insider ( the ones with afy may yet be wrong also but i think its too early to tell) being very wrong -ori last year when they were near bottom - on hotcopper threads it is

-during gfc there were a few very knowledgeable posters about banks and finance who were predicting a blow up of anz and nab i believe -right near when they were cheapest ! So, it is hard to weed out the good inside advice from the bad -not dissimilar to analysts!!
