On a lighter note, I was living in Vancouver when the Bre-X scam made the headlines, there's books about it and a movie I believe. It made me very sceptical of anything to do with precious metals, it's a great story and compulsory reading for those that believe everything they're told about precious metals, and while I realised there was skulduggery, didn't appreciate it existed of such magnitude.

In a previous life there was a joke used to do the rounds occasionally.
"Do you know how to make a small fortune in aviation"?
"Start off with a big one".
The same could be applied to precious metals.
