I could swear that innovation is everything that was unknown to mankind until a certain point. Go back to the eighties. How many smartphones were known? Zero. How about e-mail? It didn't exist. And this forum? Never to be heard. On the other way, typewriters were common. Where are they now? And the VCR? Substituted by DVD and these by blue-ray.
If a new method appears, it can and should be tested to the exhaustion. It can be a challenge. It can fail. But if the mankind would still be using the same processes and way of living of the first Homo Sapiens without innovation.
You have all the right to challenge these particular methods until they are proved. But talking rubish and ignoring the role of technical evolution is like being trapped in the Middle Ages. By the way, in those days, forks were unknown... maybe that "new" method to grab and eat food was also criticized at the time... after all, the same happened with a lot of stuff that was created and discovered. Until it started to be of common use.
Best Regards to all,
