I don't know why people confuse my questioning for pessimism. I bought a few shares on a whim when some people on HC altered me to the stock on HC and I didn't really think much about it at the time. Since then a lot of water has gone under the bridge for the stock, with the take over attempt, a new prospect and positive news on the metallurgy. My latest post is just asking Midnight a question.

There seems to be a very obvious difference between Três Estados and Serra Pelada in that the samples collected from Três Estados so far are from a unweathered mineralised gabbro whereas at Serra Pelada the mineralisation is found entirely in sediments, which would have needed to have been weathered to a large degree to allow those great examples of gold nuggets (free gold) to exist and to have allowed free digging by the people that descended on the deposit after its discovery.

There is a bit of a difference between an unweathered gabbro and the weathered impure marble, carbonaceous and calcareous meta-siltstone, and red meta-siltstone that exists at Serra Pelada. Maybe without the requisite sediments people are better to look for another model/example for Três Estados that fits the current picture of the known data a little better. Esh
