what you left out of that artical pegslee was "While some might be willing to look through this against a backdrop of high global and domestic prices" ........... which puts different slant ont it doesn't it ??......
in fact the price for salmon has increased from $US 5.76 to $US7.67 - thats + 35% in the last 6 months - should help the profits a bit ? .....tassal has an excellent product range, its brand known australia wide, and its distribution outlets well established .......
if it stock is a bit on the low side currently, then it is perhaps happy to forgo a one sale at a lesser profit, and make larger profits on its own term elsewhere - since world prices are currently very high....
with the $A still relatively low, tassal, has further options to increase its export market when stock volumes incresae .....
i believe the recent drop represents a buying opportunity..... one analyst does not necessarily represent the market' view commsec's analyst gives it a "strong buy"
