Similar I guess to the Guzhen is the Arabic Qanun. I don't know much at all about instruments, TBH. First time I ever heard a Qanun, live, was in a souq in Hebron. I've lived in China for many years and heard zithers played plenty of times. The Qanun sounds quite different to me. Sounds to have more depth, if that's a thing, or makes any sense whatsoever.
