I recall last Oct/Nov, I did what you are suggesting with QGC, So I sold to buy in what I thought was the bottom of the market. Well, if only I waited till BG sent me the cheque around december. I would have done better as the market dropped further.
Hence, I am reluctant do make the same mistake with LLP & may just wait for the cheque in December/Jan,
But I know what you are saying & it makes sense. Maybe do this. Sell half only so that you can get another holding now & keep half for later on.
At the end of the day, we win because we hold LLP
