Here is my belief of what will transpire:

1. Announcement on Wednesday morning of new acquisition subject to due diligence and contract finalisation.

2. Within a month we have finalisation of the acquisition and another trading halt. This second trading halt will advise of a capital raising placed with institutional investors for part payment of the acquisition.

As long as a dividend paid still I don't mind. But if there is an insto placement only and cash for the new acquisition that removes the chance of a divvie - I think I would be very dissappointed in the co.

I don't think Gordon McKern will do that though.
