Hi kymelle and welcome. I have to agree (and I think lionel007 and others will as well) when you mention - and I quote
"As you will all be aware, JPM (UK) came into the stock in Nov 09 for 24.5c per share. So every share they sell at current prices, theyve made 2.5 times their money. Based on my calculations, ignoring inflation, they will have gotten their initial investment back by the time they get down to 5%. Therefore all the shares they sell will be profit."
Why indeed would they sell? If they hold-on they'll get their 38c entitlement, OK no franking credits, but they would be in front ~13.5c per share and free-carry all their EXS holdings! currently valued at ~.64c cash.
Why, Why, Why??? The future holds well for us once the remainder of WD is mined and further developemtn of the remainder of the CCP, not to mention the possibliitiy of O/S investment in exploration activities.. I don't think it'll be too long before we get back up to pre-div price, once a few announcements are released on drilling results and JORC updates. The big advantage we have is all that cash in the bank. we dont have to go cap-in-hand to shareholders for a CR for further exploration. We could even sell-off another deposit in the 'Curry and declare another div.. (wouldn't that be nice!) I'm waiting for my tax cheque so I can get some more. Just hope it's in the bank before they announce the ex-div date! But one things for sure, I do wish the ATO was a bit more efficient. This is 2011. How hard is it to make a ruling on something? I'm with noellyn on this one. Why wait? Pay the franked div and hold fire with the cap-distribution.
