I agree a critical approach is needed, the fact that this is such a large company meant that they couldn't engage in sculduggery.
I don't trust them not to, so I wouldn't ask you to reconcile anything.
Harbour misplayed their hand on this one in my view. Needed to be a good cashed up offer unconditional and early on, not mucking about as they did.
Their loss, is long term investors gain.
