Lol everyone, calm down. I am not in the affected part of town and my tenants have missed paying rent. I simply want to turn what was originally going to be a forever home into an investment not going backwards. The market value of rent has finally gone into the realms of being profitable and I intend to make a profit. Perhaps I could first just look to raise the rent to the market value. But given my tenants have already missed a recent payment I might be better to pursue other options.
