Hi Troms, from your article Marc says "someone is going to come along and want to make the battery packs"
well here is hoping they do, what happens to all those batteries if nobody comes along, remembering they are a different battery to what the rest of the world seems to be moving to, how likely is it that someone just comes along so to speak.
"We are not doing this for show, we are doing this because it's a strong business case", well that's comforting to know, but doesn't a strong business case usually rely on more than hoping "someone is going to come along" to use your product?
Not sure how it works with government grants and the politics of getting votes, are these sort of projects guaranteed to get up once the political process starts or do they actually examine how strong the business case is, like do the politicians really care whether it's ever likely to be a commercial success, or is it more a case of what ever gets them good press coverage for a few years?
Funny how Marc talks about a strong business case but haven't yet done the feasibility study, sort of sounds like the result of the feasibility study may be pre-ordained somehow?
Anyway, hoping our State government looks closely at the business case before committing any expenditure. Sadly in this day and age of social media pressure I worry that it will be more a political decision than a commercial one.
Anyway, here's hoping "someone is going to come along and want to make the battery packs"
All the best and good luck to all holders.
