OZL has come out with its Scoping Study and Resource Statement for Carrapateena.

When AIS delivers the assays for the first hole the announcement is likely to be technical and not easy to understand.... so as a part of my learning about this stuff I have been reading up on what the neighbors have. Below are a couple of screenshots from OZL's ann's.

This is an image of the Carrapateena deposit. It has a central high grade zone surrounded by a low grade envelope. [It's worth noting that this deposit was discovered on the 2nd drill attempt.... but later it took another 50 holes to actually find the high grade zone. AIS/ARE might get lucky straight off the bat but it's just as well to take a long term view of the process. The first 8 to 10 holes are very exploratory in nature]



This is the table showing the grades for the 2 separate zones [which they intend to mine in slightly different ways]. As can be seen... the grades don't have to be particularly high to make a commercial operation.
