    Hi VH,

From what I saw there were lots of 'hackers' present. ie: new and social golfers. I likened it to a game of darts crossed with ten pin bowling while aiming at various large targets ranging from 15 metres to about 180 metres away. The are about 10 different games to play catering to different abilities. We had 6 and 8 yr olds competing against a 70 yr old grandma, all of whom have never played golf. Scores are kept electronically. OR you can simply hack away hitting balls wherever you wish.
Plenty actually brought their own clubs using it as driving practice.
Each level had about 40 or 50 booths with three levels and a large public sports bar to sit and drink and watch tv/sports. Music is aired in the background adding to the atmosphere. The booths are hired per hour ( between about $50 and $100 per hr). Price depends on peak and off peak times/days.... Six people per booth. So get five friends and you are looking about $10 per hour each...... Games take roughly an hour to hit 20 balls each, taking turns at hitting 1 to 5 balls on each occasion. So similar to actual golf... (10 to 20 mins per hole)
The beers and drinks are pub prices with a huge variety. Food is very Americanised but again at pub prices and very good quality.
We hired three booths for three hours with 18 people and fully catered with buffet lunch and all soft drinks for several hundred dollars...not bad value for a 13th birthday party these days. That included our own VIP area served american chili, hot dogs, chicken tenders, potato salad with all the condiments one could need. Plus choc chip cookies anf we brought our own cake.
I believe no under 18's at night so they must be doing very well to exclude kids during PM hours....
On rough calcs yesterday there were about 150 booths with about 6 per booth, so I would say 1000 people playing golf at once plus 100 in the bar watching the fight plus a constant line of 40 waiting to get in...very popular for now as it is new.....
This is the first in Aust I believe so expect more in East Coast capital cities soon.....
Overall a very pleasurable experience for everyone of all ages and skills. Highly recommend it. Everyone had a laugh.

    Yours in golf

    Cheers
