I don't know the algorithms behind the bots work...

however as you can see they can destabilize the SP of a company quickly ....

I actually like them as it leads to under/over valuing companies and creates buying/selling opportunities.

I understand it can cause anxiety as holder however this is why as investor the intrinsic value of a company needs to be understood...

a simplistic way to look at the currency SP movement os this way...


avg SP for FY to AGM  = $4.20

Trading update is taken as a median of 8% downgrade by the market... (my opinion wrong)

reducing the SP avg by 8%  = $3.86


of course this is not the way to analyse a stock but it shows how the SP movement does not correlate to the market expectations


Macquire  has its valuation at $4.37  and they had the lofty 30+%  growth for FY17
