I see the arguments for it i.e. not so much wild swings and possibly looks more palatable for funds to buy in rather than at a 'penny dreadful' price (however I think funds buy in mainly based on market cap, that is if you fall into the ASX 300). Most consolidations I've seen haven't been great. I guess it is a long-term thing.
The only one I've been involved with where it worked was Somnomed (SOM).
