"Neu didn’t go down; it was trading at 14c at the time of consolidation (equivalent to $2.80); it’s now mostly hanging around $3 (and had been up to $3.20), with no real news since the consolidation"
It was trading at 16.5c prior to the consolidation announcement, and even hitting 17c.
A few weeks after the consolidation on 7 Dec 2017, the sp hit an intraday low of $2.35 (or 11.75c in old money).
ok, I've cherry picked the dates, and the sp was bouncing around all over the place, but the general consensus is that consolidations are bad for the sp and liquidity. If you don't believe me, ask the question on the neu forum.
