I am very much in favour of paying the landholders compensation but it should be done on a case by case appraisal. It should include the obvious like loss of income, loss of privacy, stress and anguish, distruction of property the list goes on.
What should not be taken into account is the amount of profit that will be made from each property, I keep hearing in the media how these CSG companies will be making millions and paying a pittance to landholders. Does that mean if the CSG company loses money the landholders will reimburse?
Most landholders are farmers and most farmers are intelligent people, activists on the other hand, well thats a different story.
