I think that the above comment of yours is just a lot of hog wash, and big cobblers as well.
For, why don't you say that ConocoPhillips, the one that you are saying have the most knowledge of CSG in the World, have tried before anyone else of getting the CSG in Australia, and they gave up altogether. It was only after some of our companies started to bringing it up to fruition that they decided to get back in, but not on a full scale, and not on their own either.

Besides, in your comments above, you are contradicting yourself big times as well, while trying to compare apples with potatoes.

Consider that, one moment we are talking about CSG, and the next you are bringing in ConocoPhillips with their experiences of Conventional gas. Now, what is Conventional Gas got to do with the CSG ?? Think about. Especially when they (Conoco) decided at one stage of the game that it was all too hard for them and not worth spending any more money on it, lol.

As for the Chinese and Shenua with the comments made by Clive Palmer, maybe a little better research on that would go a long way as well. I have only posted what comments I have read and heard, while you haven't come up with any against arguments and proofs that CP's comments were false.

If you have to pick to pieces one's comments, you have to put up an against argument with supporting evidence as to why those comments are wrong. Not just that Clive Palmer is using coal seam gas himself. What does that prove lol. Does it proves that what he said is wrong, or does it only proves that he is using it for his own enterprise as a way of generating some electicity or something else.

Finally, if the Chinese would know nothing about coal seam gas as you wrote, can you prove that, or is it just another stab in the dark. Prove it to me with supporting evidence, and I will believe you. For, based on your own comments alone:, "The Chinese openly admit that they are bringing American companies into China to get hold of US technology about unconventional gas.", we are still only talking about a totally different type of gas. CONVENTIONAL, NOT CSG.

And to say that China is a Communist Country that abandoned Democracy, (although I agree with you there), that is not offering any supporting evidence/argument that they are not good at anything. Look at the way they are going with their economy and foreign trade surpluses in contrast to many others around the World for example. So, they must be good at something !!!
Where would the World be today if it wasn't for them spending huge amounts of money ?

A little better research would go a long way.
