The most acceptable communication in all Government departments throughout the world is the regular receipt of a "Christmas Card ". The extended delay or rapid progress of an application is greatly influenced by dealing with the right person . The cost of the "Christmas card" can be absorbed in the books as working capital or can be handled by another interested party that is greatly affected by the progress or otherwise of a competitor. Unfortunately applications can be shelved for years or fast tracked depending on the relationships formed. . The personal contacts with Government officials is vital if progress is to be achieved in any negotiations. I wish the board well in their endeavors to deal with all the Government departments involved. A "Christmas Card " on a regular basis may be what it takes. Merlin
