Managing Director is one of the few jobs that require no formal training, no competency testing, no police clearances, no drug testing.... and corporate governance qualification and competency - who needs it ?

You just rock up one day after a nod and a wink from your mates and you get the cheque book and a few hundred grand salary, school fees paid, car allowance, etc, etc, etc. And you can put any old crap on the ASX and just say you did it because you were too stupid to realise it was nonsense.

Talk about no responsibility. Office cleaners need more background checks than MDs.
