appendix A covering the Product Service Agreement stipulates that the Investor essentially gets a royalty for arranging finance (no different to a success fee with a bank in many ways)
they will also receive a $/per tonne royalty if they don't. So they are obviously trying to get the Chinese to come up with an attractive financing package, this may just be to put pressure on the other banks, who knows
the agreement also relates to negotiating with offtakers so this could form part of the financing also as previously mentioned
I dont mind the deal (probably done a bit too late) but it doesnt matter what I/we think, the market doesnt really like it at this point so lets hope they can get the share price up sooner rather than later
