I think we all need to take a step back, stop looking at the latest EMS share price quote, and think about what today's announcement said, and more importantly, what it didnt say.
The trial is complete and the monitoring period is over.
Eastland is now in the stage of results collation. There is no more risk to the trial not being complete.
As of now, EMS has concluded a Phase III trial. A significant acheivement.
In addition, what they DIDNT say in todays announcement is that there have been problems with some of the patients in the monitoring phase.
This is a SIGNIFICANT positive.
Management are supposed to be relatively arms length from London Pharma and the consultants on the ground regarding the results of the trial, but the comment about management remaining confident that the results are as good as the previous trial gives me confidence that we are going to get a positive trial outcome when the report is released in 2-3 months (Clyde my investigations indicate 2-3 months but yes lets use 3 months to be conservative).
In addition, an update on the manufacturing program will be provided in "the near future"
Now who currently has the rights to the manufacturing program?? That would be Berlin Pharma.
An update we have been waiting a very long time for.
The update on Therapex was contained in the last trial announcement 4 weeks ago.
So in summary lets not only focus on what was said (trial complete, we beleive results are good and an update on Berlin Pharma shortly), but also on what wasnt said (ie there are no issues with the patient monitoring).
As for the SP. We have had 4% of the issued shares change hands this week and over 10% in the last 6 weeks since we first broke out from the mid 1c range. That is a very large amount and days like today are to be expected.
Nevertheless, as I have said before, a market cap this low ($20m) for a company that has offically concluded all aspects of a Phase III trial is significantly undervaluing the nature of the asset and the de-risking that has taken place.
I am continuing to buy, and with a supportive macro enviroment that exists currently, expect the SP to move higher over the coming months.
For the first time, I am including a sentiment in my post, and that is LT Buy.
Well done EMS
