The fact that you dont get rollover relief until a company has had 80% of its shares "aquired" is academic. I also get rollover relief if I dont sell my shares either. In fact you only pay tax on a)capital gains (so if you bought stock at 84c, there is currently no tax to pay) and/or b) if you sell. And rollover relief is exactly that..temporary relief from tax until you sell.You still pay tax eventually. I actually account for my gains/losses on a non realised basis every 30th June, so rollover relief will never apply to me or to anyone else for that matter who accounts in the same way. Ingore this rubbish from AVO...it means nothing IMO
