    I expect the SRK offer was a tentative bid to sound out D&C. If the bid was successful then SRK gets the project very cheap.
    I dont think SRK would accept a counter offer of $1 above their own.
    D&C could well be looking to finish the bidding war off quickly by raising the stakes by $27m.
    It is a takeover scenario. Just no one knows whos going to takeover who.
