This graph shows the energy usage of Australia as a whole in 2014. Its about 10GWh. 300MW might sounds like a lot, but you are dealing with solar, which means its not 300MW on cloudy day, night. I don't know why people are so excited about solar or wind, as they also kill birds and produce toxic byproducts as well.
