In answer to your question... No, I can't tell you of JD's past, Simply because I have no knowledge of whether or not he has been charged with any criminal activity in the past. I've heard rumours, but I tend to ignore rumours unless supported by fact.
Even if he has a criminal past, I'm sure he's paid the penalty the courts saw fit to impose and moved on.
If you believe he is not fit to hold the position of a director, then I suggest you put your complaint in writing and send it to ASIC for further scrutiny.
Your other option is to call for an EGM and vote him off the board.
