Something that I always find interesting is the way that people of different ages view "time to reward". In my experience, if you say to a 20 year old "this investment will pay off in 5 years" they will reply that 5 years is too long and they can't wait that long. On the other hand an older person presented with the same scenario is more likely to reply "Beauty - only 5 years". You would sort of think it should be the opposite (older people have less time left).
Of course the above is just a generalisation.
