I do think the low 40s volume here and AVL support at 2.6 - 2.8c has spoken pretty clearly. They say calling a bottom is a mugs game but it does get easier when you're at this sort of level.

Everyone knows more or less what's happening long term but day to day we have no clue... some ballsy / clever / stupid / impatient people will sell when there is only a fair chance of short term gains. I'm not enough of these things to do this so don't try, good luck to those who manage it.

I think you're meant to wait for a recovery / momentum indicators before buying again... not my bag that trading, happy to buy on value alone and get a good lick every now and again at the bottom. In 25 years I've never once picked a top but have bought heavily at and around a heap of bottoms and made good money doing so.

I've also bought way, way, way too early but never lost a cent doing so. I therefore don't fear it and honestly don't see the big risk involved in having a crack. This is only providing you're absolutely comfortable with the company AND have sufficient cash for the long term sometimes required.

Once you do find strong buying support and establish that bottom a few times, it becomes easier to have some confidence that the trend can turn around. Eventually small steps littered with good news return give positive momentum with sp breaking moving average indicators. Swing traders will jump back in, new cash is invested and old money returns, finally driving a share to new highs and a brighter future.

This is just a general story of the SP of any stock with good fundamentals finishing a retrace. We've all seen it before and we know the first to recognise it has the most to make (or lose if you're wrong).

So, was support at these levels for the Gabba vein a bottom formed or simply overly keen buyers (me) jumping the gun? We'll find out soon enough but I'm never shy in making a stupid call. Onward_&_upward!
